# Global Workspace Engineering Initiative for a Distributed Workforce

**Project Overview:**  
As part of a digital transformation program, led the design and implementation of a scalable and secure **Google Workspace environment** supporting over **20,000 global users** across 40+ countries. The objective was to improve collaboration, simplify IT operations, and enhance data security across a distributed workforce.

**Key Responsibilities & Achievements:**

* **Workspace Infrastructure Design:**  
    Architected a robust **OU and group structure**, designed to align with business units, regions, and access control policies.
    
* **Automation with Google Apps Script:**  
    Built and maintained automation scripts for user provisioning, shared drive management, and access reviews using **Apps Script** and **Google Sheets integrations**.
    
* **Secure Email Routing & MX Management:**  
    Managed a hybrid mail routing setup during migration from Exchange, including MX record changes, SMTP relay configurations, SPF/DKIM/DMARC policies, and advanced routing logic.
    
* **Security & Compliance Implementation:**  
    Rolled out **2-Step Verification**, **context-aware access**, and **OAuth app whitelisting**, and deployed **DLP policies** to prevent data exfiltration.
    
* **User Experience & Support Optimization:**  
    Launched onboarding documentation and in-product tips using Google Sites and Chat bots. Post-rollout, reduced IT support requests by **30%**, indicating higher self-sufficiency and stability.
